Jedi
- Luke Skywalker Unlike many of his friends, Luke's past is exceptionally well documented. Luke Skywalker
is the son of Anakin Skywalker and Queen Amidala. Luke also had a twin sister. Because Anakin was seduced by the dark side
of the Force, Obi-Wan Kenobi (the Jedi Master of Anakin) took Luke from his mother and twin sister at birth. In order to protect
the children, Obi-Wan entrusted Luke to Owen and Beru Lars, moisture farmers on Tatooine, while Luke's sister Leia, was adopted
by Senator Bail Organa of the planet Alderaan. For the next 18 years Luke toiled one the moisture farm, unaware of his true
heritage, his father's true identity, or the existence of his sister.
In his early years, Luke became an experienced pilot (just like his father at that age) by racing
the T-16 skyhopper through Tatooine's treacherous Beggar's Canyon, using the cannons of the T-16 to target Womp Rats. Luke
became friends with Biggs Darkligher and a group of young friends that include Tank, Fixer, Camie, Windy and Deak. Together,
this group spent many hours at Anchorhead's Tosche Station. Biggs and Tank eventually decided to join the Academy, Luke could
only dream of leaving the desert world.
Some time later Biggs returned to Tatooine to say good bye to Luke. He had made some friends
at the Academy and they where going to join the Alliance. Biggs was afraid that the Empire would draft him into service. Deep
down Luke also wanted to join the Alliance but the knew that his uncle would not let him go so easily. Luke was hoping that
his uncle would get some more droids so he would not longer be needed.
One Day when Luke was 18 years old, something happened that would change is live and send him
in a direction he could not possibly imagine. Uncle Owen had bought two droids, C-3PO and R2-D2. Artoo carried a secret hologram
in side of a beautiful princess who was seeking Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke only knew Obi-Wan as Old Ben a strange old hermit. When
he met Ben he learned that his father was a Jedi Knight and a great star pilot. He also learned that Darth Vader a Sith Lord
had betrayed and murdered his father. Sadly when Luke returned home to find that his adopted aunt and uncle had been murdered
by stormtroopers who where searching for the two droids. Luke then realized that his destiny was to help Kenobi to find the
princess of the hologram. And let Kenobi learn him the ways of the Force.
The group booked passage to Alderaan aboard the Millennium Falcon, a starship owned by the smuggler
Han Solo and his friend the Wookiee Chewbacca. But Alderaan was never reached because the Death Star had destroyed it.
Soon after the Millennium Falcon and its passengers where captured by imperial forces. Luke learned
that Princess Leia was also held captive and decided to free her. After some heroic acts and rescuing Leia, Obi-Wan was confronted
by Darth Vader. Kenobi sacrificed his live to let the group escape from the Death Star and flee to Yavin 4. There, Luke joined
the Rebel Alliance and was reunited with Biggs. The plans carried by Artoo contained the battle readouts of the Death Star.
During the Battle of Yavin many brave pilots lost there live including Biggs, protecting Luke's
rear during the trench run. But Luke Skywalker won the battle, the young boy succeeded in destroying the Death Star by firing
a pair of proton torpedoes into an exhaust port using the Force as his guide.
In the next few years Luke founded the X-Wing Rogue Squadron and helped in defending from the
Imperial attack on Hoth's Echo Base until the Rebels could escape. During his stay at Hoth, Ben (in spirit form) told him
to find Yoda a Jedi Master who had trained him. On Dagobah Luke found Yoda. The Jedi training proved difficult, forcing Luke
to strengthen his body as well as his mind. Yoda feared that Luke was too impetuous, and that he too could be seduced by the
dark side.
Luke left his training uncompleted to save his friends who were captured on Bespins Cloud City
by Darth Vader. Here Luke was confronted with Vader and lost his right hand in the battle. Darth Vader revealed the truth
about the young Jedi's father. Darth Vader told him that he was Anakin Skywalker his father. Vader offered Luke a chance to
join him in ruling the galaxy, but Luke refused and would rather choose certain death over the dark side. Miraculously, Luke
survived and was rescued by the Millennium Falcon.
During the next year, Luke returned to Tatooine and rebuild his lightsaber using instruction
discovered in Obi-Wan's home. He also defended himself against an assassination attempt by Prince Xizor, head of the Black
Sun criminal organization. Who was eager to see, Darth Vader fail in his attempt to locate and converting Luke to the dark
side. As Prince Xizor wanted to be the right hand of the Emperor and therefore he made several attempts to kill Luke so Darth
Vader would come in discredit with his Master
Within the year Luke rescued Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt. With Han safe, Luke returned to Dagobah
to find Master Yoda dying. Yoda confirmed that Vader was his father, but insisted that Luke had to confront the Dark Lord
one more time. The Spirit of Obi-Wan also appeared and he revealed that Leia was Luke's twin sister.
Luke ultimately delivered himself to Vader, intent on rescuing Anakin Skywalker from the dark
side. But Darth Vader brought Luke before the Emperor aboard the second Death Star. There Luke abilities where tested and
in the fight with his father, Luke severed Vader's right hand. However, despite the Emperor's urgings, he did not slay his
father. Then the Emperor decided to destroy Luke. But Luke called out to his father and Anakin Skywalker finally emerged.
Despite his own injuries, Vader hurled the Emperor into the Death Star's reactor core. Vader himself died soon after, from
his wounds, but not before Luke looked upon his father's face for the first and last time.
After the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star. Luke played a major role
in turning the Rebel Alliance into the New Republic. He helped fight the reptilian Ssi-ruuk invaders at Bakura and fought
the forces of Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Ten years after the Battle of Yavin, Skywalker attempted to destroy the clone of the Emperor
Palpatine. He agreed to become the reborn Emperor's apprentice, but slowly succumbed to Palpatine's powers on the planet Byss.
Fortunately, Leia arrived and rescued him from the brink of corruption. Together, the twins destroyed the Palpatine clone.
Soon after, the Emperor returned again, only to suffer defeat once more.
Throughout his many adventures, Luke discovered that many other Force-sensitive beings were spread
across the galaxy. He ultimately decided to gather and train a new army of Jedi Knights, and thus founded a Jedi academy here
in the Great Temple of the Massassi Order on Yavin 4. Luke did not realize that the evil spirit of an ancient Dark Jedi named
Exar Kun inhabited the temple. Kun nearly killed Luke who was eventually saved by the combined powers of his students, who
destroyed the spirit of Exar Kun once and for all.
Luke continues to maintain his Jedi academy, training the Solo children and Chewbacca's nephew.
He still routinely embarks on missions for the New Republic and will instantly rise to meet any threat facing his friends
and allies.

- Kyle Katarn was an elite
Rebel agent entrusted with some of the most crucial missions of the Rebel Alliance. It was Katarn that single-handedly infiltrated
an Imperial installation on Danuta, securing the technical plans of the Empire's Death Star battle station.
A former Imperial, Katarn was born on the Sullustan
colony moon of Sulon, living a simple existence as a farmer with his father Morgan. Unaware of his father's Rebel sympathies,
Kyle joined the Imperial Academy at Carida. He was indoctrinated and became a decorated Imperial trooper.
While in the Academy, Kyle's father was killed.
Official records indicated that the elder Katarn had been murdered by Rebel dissidents. Kyle learned the truth, however, from
a Rebel agent named Jan Ors. His father was killed by the Empire for treason. Disgusted with the institution he had joined,
Kyle discarded his badges and merits, and cast away his Imperial trappings. He resolved to join the Rebellion.
Kyle became a highly capable and recommended Rebel
agent, vouched for by the respected Jan Ors. Kyle drew the attention of no less than Mon Mothma, leader of the Alliance. She
entrusted Katarn with that fateful mission to Danuta, and after the Battle of Yavin, Katarn was instrumental in quelling the
threat of the Imperial dark trooper project.
Returning to Sulon, Kyle learned that his father
had been aiding a refugee effort on the barren world of Ruusan. Morgan had discovered ancient ruins on Ruusan pointing the
way to the Valley of the Jedi, the fabled battleground between the ancient Jedi and Sith. The Valley represented a great focal
point of 1energy that if exploited could turn the tide in the perpetual battle between light and dark. Kyle knew that the
location of the Valley should never fall into Imperial hands.
Others were already on the path to discovering
the Valley, however. The Dark Jedi Jerec and his six henchmen, Gorc, Pic, Maw, Sariss, Boc and Yun, were determined to seize
the nexus of power. One by one, Katarn defeated them, though in his aggressive strikes, he came dangerously close to succumbing
to the dark side of the Force.
Deep in the Valley of the Jedi, Kyle confronted
Jerec, the very man who had killed Morgan Katarn. The two did battle, and when Kyle slew Jerec, he fulfilled an ancient prophecy.
The spirits of long-dead Jedi, trapped in the Valley for a thousand years, were finally freed. With this energy unleashed,
the Valley of the Jedi's worth as a weapon was effectively eliminated.
Long used to operating independently, Katarn at
first refused Luke Skywalker's offer to become a Jedi apprentice. Instead, he continued to serve the Alliance, now the New
Republic, on many important missions. After a troubling run-in with the dark side on the forgotten Sith world of Dromund Kaas,
Katarn conceded that he would benefit from Skywalker's tutelage, and joined the Jedi Master's fledgling Jedi academy.
Kyle is human male with rugged good looks and
an athletic build. He brandishes a green-bladed lightsaber, though he has been known to have access to a veritable arsenal
of personal weaponry. He often travels with Jan Ors aboard the battered starship, the Moldy Crow.
